K Legacy Longevity Plan · Landscape Lighting Maintenance
Maintenance so your lighting keeps looking new.
The K Legacy Longevity Plan is our bi-annual maintenance program for landscape and architectural lighting systems in North Texas. Two visits a year, spring and fall.
Landscape Lighting Maintenance
Landscape lighting is an investment. Treat it like one.
Trees grow. Mulch gets replaced. Sprinklers hit fixtures. Bulbs eventually dim. A lighting system that looks great on install day can drift if nobody adjusts it. The K Legacy Longevity Plan keeps it looking the way it did the night we turned it on.
Enrolled systems receive two scheduled visits a year, one in spring and one in fall. On each visit we inspect and clean every fixture, re-aim what has drifted, check voltage and connections, clear fixture bases, inspect the transformer, and confirm timer and programming settings. You receive a written visit report afterward.
Enrollment also keeps your one-year workmanship warranty in force, and warranty processing is handled for you.
What the plan does not cover: damage from landscaping, irrigation, construction, storms, or animals; buried wire faults; transformer replacement; fixture replacement outside of warranty; and any additions to the system. Those are quoted separately before any work happens.
Service calls between visits are $95 for plan members and $150 for non-members.

Mulch, soil, and growth cleared away from fixture bases.

How It Works
Straightforward process, start to finish.
- 01
Initial phone conversation
We start with a call to understand the property, what you are hoping for, and whether we are a good fit.
- 02
Complimentary consultation
We meet at the property in daylight, tour it with you, talk through how you use the space, review utilities, and take photos and notes.
- 03
Design development
We develop the lighting design around the property, the architecture, and the way you actually live outside.
- 04
Demonstration or rendering
When appropriate, we present a nighttime demonstration, a rendering, or a design presentation. Larger projects often receive a demonstration. Some projects use renderings instead.
- 05
Written proposal
You receive a written proposal with options at a few different scopes so you can choose what fits.
- 06
Approval and deposit
A 50 percent deposit is due on approval. We accept Zelle, QuickBooks, and check.
- 07
Installation
Installation typically runs from two days to about three weeks depending on scope. Larger projects can be phased.
- 08
Final aiming and walkthrough
We return after dark for final aiming and walk the finished system with you.
- 09
Documentation
You receive a wiring diagram and a video of your project at completion.
- 10

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions.
- What is the K Legacy Longevity Plan?
- It's our bi-annual maintenance program for landscape and architectural lighting. We visit in spring and fall to inspect, clean, re-aim, check voltage and connections, reset timers, and inspect the transformer.
- How often do you come out?
- Twice a year, once in spring and once in fall. Larger properties or systems with extensive tree uplighting sometimes benefit from more frequent visits.
- Do I have to be a K Legacy install customer to enroll?
- No, but enrollment is not automatic for systems installed by another company. We inspect the system first, and if it can be brought up to a maintainable baseline, we enroll it from there.
- How much does the Longevity Plan cost?
- It depends on system size and fixture count. We provide a proposal after seeing the system.
- What does a service call cost between visits?
- Service calls are $95 for Longevity Plan members and $150 for non-members.
- What is not covered by the plan?
- Damage from landscaping, irrigation, construction, storms, or animals, along with buried wire faults, transformer replacement, out-of-warranty fixture replacement, and system additions. Those are quoted separately before any work happens.
- Does the plan affect my warranty?
- Yes. Enrollment keeps your one-year workmanship warranty in force, and we handle warranty processing for you.
